What is your job?
As responsible for training and development at Stroili for HQ and Retail, my scope includes the realization of the company training plan from collecting needs to budgeting from review content to follow up, and all activities related to performance review, people review and reward system. It’s such an exciting and challenging job!
What is your background?
I joined Stroili four years ago. I’ve always had a strong passion for all the HR related issues so, after my bachelor in Legal Sciences I made some specializations in Employment Consulting and Personnel Management.
Before joining Thom I also gained experiences as HR Generalist: HR admin, training, talent acquisition in B2B and B2C companies and also in tax and banking field.
Can you tell us about a typical day?
I always start with abrief with my team, according to the agenda and my to do list.
During the day that might change according to new challenges and I’m always in the mood to make them stick together and get along with my goals!
What makes you enjoy your job on a day-to-day basis?
I think that my team, Laura and Eleonora, is certainly the best part of my job.
It is also exciting to get results where you think you can’t or to see and make things gradually change.
Since I moved here, a lot of work has been done and I’m proud to have been able to bring my contribution to get it
Among the 5 values of the Group, which two speak to you the most? And how have you integrated them into your daily life?
I think that commitment and demandingness maybe suit me the most: needless to say that training and also performance are hot topics in a retail company and, along with team spirit, it’s mandatory to be looking to improve even the smallest details and involved and take responsibility for achieving the Company ambitions, needs and goals
An anecdote?
Only one? Take a seat! I’m just kidding. Maybe there’s one: last October I had to speak for my part in Convention, take part to the party and also prepare… to speak in a training I set the following day at 9 am. Needless to say that I’ slept thee hours that night. And the best part is I was happy to do that and I wasn’t tired at all: so much adrenaline!
What are the main qualities required to do your job?
I think that empathy, precision and problem solving: you have to be able to sincerely and deeply listen and at the same time be brave and manage all issues maintaining a good environment.
What advice would you give to a new joinee just starting his career ?
Be focused, think that all you think you do the best can always be improved and never give up.
