What is your job?
As Director of Traceability and Purchasing Projects, I am currently managing two key projects. The first focuses on CSR, including supplier risk mapping, RJC certification for the Group, carbon footprint analysis for purchases, and recycled gold initiatives. The second project is process-oriented and involves the migration to SAP, covering EDI integration, a Quality Management tool, and team training.
What is your professional background?
I joined THOM in 2018 as an Omnichannel Project Manager, where I led the migration of our new e-commerce platform for Marc Orian, starting as a pilot project. In 2021, I was promoted to Head of Projects and Innovations, taking charge of strategic, omnichannel, and innovation projects for the Group. My team and I successfully delivered initiatives such as the new e-commerce website for stroili.com in 2022 and the social commerce program for Histoire d’Or in France. In May 2024, I transitioned to the Purchasing team to explore the behind-the-scenes world of jewelry making.
Can you describe a typical day?
I might start my day with a meeting involving our teams in China or India to discuss suppliers and CSR assessments we want them to complete. Later, I enjoy sharing a few jokes or wordplays with the Purchasing, Procurement, or Back Office teams. I may then analyze the percentage of certified purchases for the month and celebrate the onboarding of a newly certified supplier. Later, I could collaborate with our Italian purchasing teams to gather more information from suppliers declaring recycled gold. My day might also include preparing meetings to onboard suppliers on upcoming SAP-related processes. At the end of the day, I summarize my meetings and action plans to ensure follow-ups.
What inspires you about your work?
Always learning new things and launching new projects!
Which of the Group’s five values resonates most with you, and how do you live it daily?
For me, Team Spirit is the most important value. As a project manager, I consistently rely on a transversal team to succeed. I would also highlight Boldness and High Standards, as I love taking risks and testing new ideas.
An anecdote?
When I joined THOM in 2018, the headquarters were still located on Rue Saint-Georges, and I was given a desktop computer! It felt like stepping into another era. I’m so proud of how much we’ve grown in just six years!
